Lab 4 Seizing a Computer

Details

I will be creating a crime scene for Lab 4. You will work with one or two partners to seize a computer at the crime scene into evidence. This should be lots of fun, so don't miss it!

Please bring about 10 printed evidence tags. (You won't need your evidence log, just your tags.) Please bring a notebook or paper and pen to document your work, though. You will keep an activity log of the major tasks that you do at the crime scene.

Based on the attached Search Warrant and class discussions on proper procedures, you will seize and tag each piece of evidence, using the tags that you developed in Lab 3. When you have your computer and its components ready for transfer to the evidence locker, I will check your work and activity log.

Grading

I will check your work and activity log and grade you based on whether you followed the proper procedures to seize a computer into evidence.
